Hey guys, I would like to do some port work on the heads and also was wondering if I should keep the e cam or look into a different kind. I was looking for a good OTS cam, the e-cam is ok but doesn't have that "I'm a badass don't f**k with me" sound, also maybe another cam will give me more power. I hardly ever take this to the track so it is mostly for street. Anyone here have a similar combo that can help me out.. Thanks

how did you like the x cam and is it blower friendly?:D

There are several blower friendly OTS cams out there. The trickflow stage 2 comes to mind...it is an almost exact copy of the old anderson B4 blower cam. Just be sure you upgrade your valve springs on the heads if you go with something that big. Ported p heads can make some good power. I use to run a set on my old motor....stock shortblock, ported p heads,gt40 intake, mild cam...made 296rwhp/320rwtq n/a. Ran a best of a 12.19 at 110 n/a..and 10.98 at 126 on a 200 shot. Was a fun street motor too..very torquey.

wow, that x cam sounds little more than what I need. Maybe I'll will stay with the e cam, but I wonder if changing from 1.6 rockers to the 1.7's will benefit me? I'm not sure with the supercharger if this would help me or make things worse....

Anderson ford mptorsport sells quite a few blower specific cams, from mild to wild, call their tech line and see what they reccomend.

The e-cam is great for them heads, not too big, just enough. I have a friend running one and he is happy with it and gt-40P's low 12's 108mph N/A and low 11's @121 MPH with a small vortech, very good combo.

I would say that cam sounded more radical because it was a cold start up on a carbed car...it doesn't sound as wild on an EFI engine.

I vote for the TFS either stage 1 or 2, but put some good valvesprings and retainers on there. The stage one sounds badass, and the stage 2 will work well with a blower. Both favor the exhaust with more lift and duration. I think you will see more power from the stage one all motor, as those heads flow their best at around .500 lift.
