So far I've been able to do steady state tuning at high throttle by using the brake pedal to maintain constant rpm (really loading the engine up). The brakes can only do so much. I started smoking the brakes trying to hold back WOT above 4000, so I think it might be time to put it on a dyno to get those really dialed in.
with in 5% is is very good. what softwear are you using?

I'm using EFI Live, and thus far I really like it. It blows the DSM EPROM tuning out of the water that I'm used to.
When you command 12.7:1 AFR, and you're off 5% on the lean side, that means you'll be getting 13.3:1 AFR, so its not as close as it sounds. One percent is approximately 0.1 AFR, and thats where I'd like to be.
I'll probably use Dave Blundells dyno. The dynapacks have great constant load, and constant speed controls.

Kevin, i just started reading this thread tonight. I read through all 13 pages and i must say dude i am totally amazed. Great work on well....everything!! Thankyou for sharing your build. It definately helps rekindle some spirit. I may even fix my tranny on the ole turbo car for this summer. Have you seen my thread on the turbo 2.3 swap im doing for my 16 yr old brother? I hope to wrap it up here in the next couple weeks.

Dude I did a 5.0 swap with a t5 in a 86 GXL RX7 it was pretty quick I never had mine to the track but I smoked one of those SRT4 neon by about 3.5 car lengths It was this guy that used to come through my work. He had an after market turbo on it but nothing for a stang powered vehicle.

Just read the whole thread and I have to say, We have done many racecars and car buildup in our shop and I would give anything to have half of your fabbing/customizing abilities. Great job of the car; it’s truly a work of art. :bigthumb :bigthumb
