He just got his car running guys! he didn't think his car was fast enough anyway to make the list its just a thrown together mustang with parts that was laying around in my garage! He has been helping me with my car. I told him to post them, it doesn't matter to him if he is on it or not just thought he would post his time don't get all out of shape, he doesn't have the internet but does use mine to read up on things so don't put him on the list he understand the rules!!!!! its all good!!:bigthumb he is just happy it ran good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally witnessed this run as I was talking to him before hand and went up to watch him on his first full pass. Timido was also standing right there when he pulled up, the printer didn't print out his slip and they told him to go up to the front to get it. Tim said they might as well write it on a napkin and hand it to him. I know he didn't post much, but he came over with mustangoutlaw to help out my good buddy brandon(fst 5pto) do a leak down on his motor at the drop of a hat, just to help a fellow banger out. Sounds like a stangbanger to me :bigthumb

I am a supporter of fast street cars and think everyone should get a shot at getting on the dozen. However I had a friend who has a killer street car and because of low post count and low participation he was not allow to be on the dozen even though he frequently was on the board but didn't post much. His car was witnessed by all kinds of people on the street and at the track as one of the fastest street cars around. There are people who are on the dozen and on the edge of falling off who show up to events and participate on the site. I know this is all for fun but rules are rules. I have to vote no this one just my opinion.

-A Participating member of Stangbangerz. That means, you show up to SBZ events, you show up to some SBZ get-togethers, you also make one of the following:
-Running of the Ponys
-Running of the Dozen
-Local T&T at E20 or TS with fellow SBZ members
-Running of the UMTR with fellow SBZ
-Attend the SBZ Track day in July
The Dirty Dozen was started by Vinny to get ALL of us motivated to come out and enjoy our Stangs together. We all know Vinny loved being with everyone at the track and he looked forward to racing along side each of us.

-A true street Mustang/Capri with insurance, tags and registration matching the car.

-Owner may have had help building his/her car, but they will race it. No hired shoes to race for them.

-If you break, blow up, change combo, your off the list till you re-run the car. All times before are void. No "one hit" wonders. If fail to post up that you broke to delibratey stay on the list, you are off...PERMANENTLY.

"His car isn't really a street car" is something I hear a lot. Problem is, everybody's opinion on what a true street car is will be different. As the rules sit right now, a street car is defined as having license, tags and insurance. I made it this way only to parallel the NMRA Wild Street definition. This is probably the toughest one to call so making these cars come out on the street to stay on the list will make things more fair in my opinion. This can be accomplished by requiring the cars to drive to the track at least once and/or showing up at our big cruise-ins.

Remember kids, this is for fun, bragging rights and a decal....nothing more. No big money prizes, no sponsorship deals, no trophies....just some good ole boys bringing out their cars and putting a beating on 1320 feet of tarmac!

People threw a fit which resulted in a good guy with a fast car leaving the website. Atbracn only had 16 posts when he entered the dozen, but he had been to some events. So I think he should stay, there's no reason to lose another fast car over internet drama.

The clutch. The pressure plate and flywheel both had run out the opposite way so the disc was'nt making contact on the insides about 1/2-3/4" which I think was causing it to slip and swell.

Hows yours coming? I was hoping you would be making some shake down passes this year:(

I damn near lost my car on saturday at Tristate on the fast end when I ran over some slickery goo on the fast end of the track. If the suspension was set up to drag and not for road racing (like it is currently) it may have been meeting the wall. If anyone has video of the mineral gray 01 gt's wiggly pass at around 3pm I believe I will pay well for it!

Had i pretty good day today the track was fair did run a new best time of 1.35 60 foot 3.92 330ft 6.05 at 114.47 7.91 1000 ft and 9.48 at 142.90 On my secound run i left on spray and it can up a little high straped the front end down for the last pass. . Yeah Jason that was me in the other lane it was cool because our reaction times were fairly close enabling me to see you launch in the air out of the corner of me eye! :eek: I thought about lifting but I stayed in it and I saw you did the same thing..........I think I may of over-revved my car a bit by watching your car carry the wheels well past the 60' mark, it was my highlight run of the day/year! :bigthumb

It was a fun year for me also. Wish I could have gotten out sooner but good things come to those who wait. Got my fastest pass in my life this year and got my wheelie!! My dad (God rest his soul) passed to soon to see it, but I know I had help driving that 9.63 pass.....Thanks Dad, This season was for you! And a big thanks to Ron at CRC in Carlisle for putting up with me all season and to Jeff out at Precission Autosports for a killer tune. Good luck in the new shop. To all thous who helped and gave me pointers, THANKS! It was a blast........NOW Bring on the Beer and Wings!!!!!!!! Maybe we can get all the dozen cars out at the PINKS premier party and park them all together to show our appreciation for what Vinny started and where it has taken off to. I was worried, but considering I went 10.45 on the s-trim, and 10.83 on the ysi, hitting the rev limiter in the top of 3rd before the 1/8( injector limited to 5600rpm), I know there is alot left. Hopefully next year I'll be on the bottom 1/2 of the list.

Anyway, I acquired a set of 83# inj.'s and a epec computer, hopefully I'll start yanking the engine tomorrow, and building boss block.

It eventually led into a cracked block, the block is trash from a racing stand point, and pulled from the car,
my fault!!!

Big congrates to Brad (atbracin). Car doesnt even run right, (high rpm miss) leaves soft (no brake), built in just a few month by himself, and still on the dozen:bigthumb:bigthumb

I'm talking about the pinks car...ya know the one alot of you guys all built together...raced together...and was meant to represent stangbangerz and most of all... Vinny. I think that car should be on the DD. It was completely built from the ground up by all stangbanger members...it was raced by stangbanger members..and most of the parts were donated from them also. The car was also at almost every stangbanger event that was held. I know there were a few members to drive it..but I garauntee the co-pilot (Vinny) was there for every pass. Maybe I'm wrong....This is just my opinion...but maybe there's a few that may agree...

Definately an honorary member of the DD.....but first it has to be street driven, licensed, and insured. Next year maybe it will find it's right place on top of the stack!

It will probably be to fast for the class that Nate will convince everyone is the best races. I will try to race in it but now I have to chance going NA or on the sauce........Witch one will they choose??? 10.50 index or say 9.60 class. I think 9.60 will be to fast for the show just my opinion but that is how it has gone in the past my .02:bigthumb

Next year I am hoping to squeeze right about dead smack in the middle of this years dozen times with my all motor setup. Scary thing is that the rate things are getting quicker around here, I may be rounding out the back of the pack:eek: Hell I need to take driving school all over again & try to at least get my temps by march or april. good thing I drive my little beater camery everyday or I'd have to learn how to drive a stick again too!;)
