Does anyone know if an 86-up clutch will fit in my 82 w.SROD tranny? Is it possible to change the flywheel size to make it work.? I'm pretty confused:confused:

i am not quite sure that the updated 10.5" flywheel and clutch would fit in that older bellhousing, but i have no knowledge of those older tranny's, id say throw a T5 in it if you have the extra money, someone on here is ALWAYS selling one, lol, and i dont know if the clutch fork postion in the old trans will engage the clutch properly, but who knows, might work, if you can get the parts cheap enough, it might be worth it, if not you are halfway into a T5 swap :bigthumb

+1.. I say throw a T5 in it and you'll be sure the clutch will work. I used a King Cobra before my spec and I loved it.

Yes, it will work with the larger flywheel/clutch combo. It is the same bellhousing as a Tremec trans uses. Oh, and +2 for spec over a cobra clutch. I have one of those in one of my cars and just don't like the pedal feel. the spec is better all around.
