Cometic Head Gaskets ..... you can use them over and over ..... very pricey $$$$ ...

For a reasonable prices set of head gasket I like ROL's..you can get them from Autozone. They have to order them..takes like a day. I also like Felpro's 9333's...think you can get them from autozone also. I would not use the Felpro 1011's....I've seen way to many power adder combo's blow them.

+2 on the 9333's. I keep them and 8548's in stock. The graphite works really well with cast iron heads.

thx guys. guess i'll use the 9333's again. I used the stock head bolts before do you think I should get a set that have washers? and should I torque all bolts the same? I heard thats the way to go with nitrous.

I would go with a set of ARP head bolts or even better head studs. I tq the longer bolts 10ftlb higher than the shorter ones. I think with 7/16" bolts/studs I tq'ed mine to 85/75# using oil on the threads.

I do the same using moly lube. I like them tight, seems to work better that way. I also torque plate honed my block with the same torque specs, just anal that way.

I used those little brown cardboard headgaskets on mine and there like 8 bux. I have a stock shortblock and some gt40 heads and I ran 175shot on mine with no problems at all. I'm also switching over to a turbo setup right now and keeping my same old cheap headgaskets. Just gotta make sure you keep your tune safe and you stay away from detonation and your good to go with any headgasket as long as your torque your headbolts correctly!!!

I have used the Fel pro MLS gaskets the last few times and have had great success. This last time i had an injector fail and melt a piston but the headgasket never let go

I use mr. gasket victor reinz series(designed for blower/turbo/nitrous), they were origanally designed for deisel engines. I also had my block drilled and tapped for 1/2" head bolts, then you can torque to 105-110 ft. lbs. I use arp bolts. I've been running this setup for the past 2 yrs with no failure, approx. 40 passes,15 -20 dyno pulls plus street driving. My car has a s/c and runs about 14lbs. of boost.

I use the cometics.... BES put them on, I think they were around $200. As far as results I haven't ran the car yet. 1/2 ARP studs..... Hopefully it will work on 20+ lbs of boost..;)
