f150 swap

will the gears work out of a 94 f150 8.8 in my 89 fox body not sure about the axle spline's ?

8.8s all have the same ring and pinion so the gears should work. The differentials are not all the same, I do believe all of the trucks came with 31 spline diffs and axles, mustangs have 28 spline diffs and axles. The 31 spline diff will bolt into a mustang housing, but will require an axle upgrade as well.

if you plan on goin fast then the diff would be a nice upgrade for ya if you can afford the axles.
