couldn't join everyone at the track yesterday so i headed down for "bracket day" of course only bracket class that runs 1/4 now is 12.00 or quicker and my goal was to run 11's

first pass, come out 4k, fresh slicks expecting a spin, bogged like crazy 2.07 60' and a 13.31 @109, blahh

2nd pass, come out harder, bust off a 1.64 60' shift like a turd and run 12.37@112, still picked up a second though

now were in eliminations, i need an 11 since i'm probably going home dial the 12.00 minimum e.t., bogged on my launch, but better shifting, 1.69 60, 5.073 330', 7.82 1/8 and 12.17 1/4@114, so, with a worse 60' i picked up .2, oh yeah, tree'd the hell outta the guy how ran .06 off his time and get another shot :)

last pass, i'm not worried about breaking any more, if something goes, it goes, launch hard, baam, 1.54 60', 4.867 330', over .2 up from the last run, oh crap, damn hurst shifter misses 4th gear again, @#$%$^#$@$#,

needless to say, i was pissed, i have yet to miss a 2-3 in this car, and last year i missed 4th 3 times and already once this year, doesn't make a damn bit of sense to me, how the hell do you miss 4th?, i'm gonna have to start doing the reverse grip on the 3 to 4, i don't feel so bad as ken missed a gear in it the other day too, needless to say i didn't get my 11, just an 12.85 @ 94, grrr

i'm guessing i was on my way to a nice 11.7 on that run, oh well, next time, work on my shifting and hope for march air better than 80 degrees and humid as hell, sucky weather for march

heres a couple of vids, quality is fair as my new fancy camera doesn't take as good of video as my 8 year old piece of junk, go figure,

overall i was happy with the day, nothing broke, and the car felt good, first time out with the car on slicks and with the blower, shift, shift, shift lol

heres the 12.17 up til the video got fuzzy (right

heres the missed 11 with the 1.54 60'

Looks great in the race mode:bigthumb I missed fourth my first pass saturday then had some trouble with my linelock button(darn velcro) and missed second never third. I think after hitting third good I just get lazy and don't focus as much on shifting or the clutch swells a little by then:lol:

thanks,

i ordered a k member brace and torque limiters today, it's supposed to help a bunch with the 2-3, and 3-4 shift issues

The trick to the 3-4 shift is to raise your elbo into the air. Try and point your elbow out the passenger window and you've got it right.
