Hey guys, just thought I would show you all a pic of my new truck. Its a 2000 Lightning . I havent been able to hang around much due to college, but I just graduated so I will be around more now. I gave up my 06 F150 for this truck and am not looking back one bit. I plan on just doing a 4# lower pulley, cold air, and a really good tune. Right now it just has a ARE tonneau, and FTVB. Do you guys know if you have to get cooler plugs when adding 4 or 5 lbs of boost? Or can you get it tuned to run with stock plugs? It just got a set of new plugs and they are a pain to change.

take it to md for a chip&tune,it totally turned my 01L on.380hp/476ftlbs.i wouldn't go more than 15lbs on the stock shortblock, and the lightnings(rods) don't like alot of rpm for long periods of time.congrads nice truck:bigthumb

Thanks guys, I dont plan on going over 12 or 13 pounds of boost with it. I plan on getting it to MD sometime in the near future to get a good tune. Do they need an Xcal II, or any specific tuner?

Thanks guys, now I just need to make my mind up on exactly what combo would be perfect for the truck power wise. Any ideas? All I am looking for is the 400 rwhp mark and about 550 rwtq area. Will a tune, 4#'er, 160* stat, plugs, cai, and catback get me there?

I saw the evidence on the street from when you stopped by :bigthumb You know how much the neighbors love us when we leave. Although, the street is much lighter than it used to be... Time for a lot more "rubber sealing":D

You might get close, but honestly you'll have to have a kill tune in the truck to make those #'s. If you get a ported blower and a 6#'er I'd say ya.
