do i have to change the distributor gear when using a Ford Racing "X" roller cam?

Nope Ford racing cams are designed to use the stock gear as long as the distributor is for a roller cam motor

it's a mallory comp 9000 distributor, so i probably should give them a call. Thanks 89notch!
