I found my RX-7 in Maryland, and the price was $7500. The seller told me it had a blown engine. Really damn good price for a 93 RX-7 with 30k original miles. Most go for $15000, to $17000 in that condition with a good engine.

I drove out there, bought it, trailered it back. Started it right up in my driveway much to my surpsise. It leaked coolant. $200 in parts later (water pump and t-stat), the engine ran perfectly. I pulled out the motor and trans and sold them for $3k. Basically got the rolling chassis for $4500 (most rolling chassis' go for $9k in the shape mine was in.

Woooo hoooo, that is definately the luckiest I've ever got. I have zero luck.

Unfortunately most of my 'luck' comes from hard work...... I still buy lotto tickets though, you never know!

I did Win a Giant Pumpkin in 3rd grade.....the only year we ever grew pumpkins in our garden so we had like a billion smelly pumkins....

in Las Vegas last year I got a straight flush playing pai-gow poker - that was pretty exciting & like $800! (wish it was carribean stud $$)

The night before Jaylynn hit the royal straight flush I was drunk and hit about $800 on a slot machine. Once or twice I have cashed out with a pocket full of black chips on a good night but 99% of the time I loose a little and get pissed off and leave. I think Ricky has the best Idea. I bet we still end up in Vegas again this year!

Yes I did. :D It was awesome. First time I'd ever played Caribbean Stud. I used to only shoot craps, but the girl I was dating at the time wanted me to play Caribbean Stud with her. Pure dumb luck, but it was awesome.

It's been my game at the casino ever since.

i would say that this was pretty lucky...
(taken from a previous post of mine)

i paid a guy 200 bucks (1/2 of the agreed price) to hold a 1969 460 for me until the next weekend so i could get a truck to haul it home. when i went back, joe was gone and his brother was at the shop. i started to hook the chain to the engine and joes bro said "thats the wrong one, yours is over there." he goes and gets it and rolls it over by the doors. i looked at it, it was complete from carb to oil pan and i really had to hold back a huge grin!!
we loaded this 429CJ...not the 460...oh yeah!! i knew as soon as i looked at the casting numbers on the ALUMINUM intake it was a CJ. we were finishing strapping it down and dude says "your tranny's are over here."
wtf...ok i'm game!
he leads me over to 2 c-6's!
one a basket case angle bell, and the other is a square bell complete with an "R" servo! so we quickly loaded these up and before we could get the tailgate closed he said " i'm late for an appointment boys and i got to split!" he closed up the shop and bolted! he didnt even ask for the other 200 bucks i owed joe!
needless to say we split too. i was waiting for joe to call me, but he never did!! i still have this stuff, and maybe one day i'll find a good use for it, but damn what a deal that was!

I'm only 18 now, but when I was 16, I was very lucky not to hurt other people when I was driving.....115mh in a '91 Ford Escort lx (1.9l SOHC) and just other stupid 16 year old shit.

Also, I was in a head on car accident as a passenger in an SN95 going 45 mph head on into a Dodge Durango doing 45mph.....and only broke my collar bone. Also got my Foxbody out of it with my insurance payment :) !

I do wish I was more lucky with money though, I have a wonderful job that pays me well....but you know...I have to show up and all that crazy stuff...haha.

Oh well, maybe your alls luck will rub off on me!

Just thought of one more:
Passed a state trooper in the mustang doing at least 100mph and he pulled out and tried to get me.....and I promptly pedaled off the next exit and hid.....I guess I'm lucky for not going to jail haha.

When I was 18 I found a gold and diamond tennis bracelet in the gravel at the local fairgrounds (dark area, too). I had it appraised and the jeweler gave me $1500 for it. I turned around and used it as a down payment on my first car (a 91 Ford Escort).

I was a little broke having just split with my now ex-wife, after paying rent I barely had enough gas money to attend my aunt's funeral in Athens, OH. I always got gas on Friday morning at the Sunoco at the corner of Kemper and Chester in Sharonville, then bought one of every scratch off lotto ticket they had, (about 8-11 usually) it was when Monoply tickets first came out.

House number 5 and 2

All five houses matched.....

$25-$50-$50-$25-$50

$200 and I got to go to Athens.

I'm going to guess you've probably paid a lot more than that back over the years...

Here is one for ya-

No joke, My mother has probably spent any where between 100 and 200 dollars in scratch off tickets since the beginning of 07.....and she has won no joke, around $1000 all togehter. Its the family joke that Ohio is going to stop selling her lottery tickets! Best part about it.....she will give me winning cards just because! woot!

I consider myself lucky that I haven't been seriously hurt or killed with as many wrecks as I had learning how to ride quads.... All better now, just needed to build up the experience

Nope, once I moved away from that area 12 years ago, I've spent less than $50 on lottery.
