my grandma

last night i get a call from my dad about 230 am my grandma had a heart attack she had major heart surgery last year and spent 5 mos in a nursing home they told her she'd never go home and never get off the trach tube in her throat but as strong willed as she is she got home and off the tube but last nights heart attack was a bad one they put a pace maker in her and gave her some drugs to open the artery if those dont open it up there's a good chance she might not make it and im not much of a religious person but if you guys could keep her in your prayers maybe she'll come through thank you so much

I'll definitely keep her in my prayers.

I often think of Vinny and his heart attack. He was such an active person and I could not imagine him have been bedridden or in a nursing home, or even letting ME take care of him. Maybe that is why God took him so suddenly, at least I know he didn't suffer.

thank you so much guys i just got back from the hospital and i got the full story she had 4 heart attacks last night and had to defib her twice and cpr once but she looked pretty good for a 70 year old woman after 4 heart attacks she is a tough old bird but for some reason they took the pace maker out this morning and they said one of her heart valves is leaking they really dont want to do surgery cause she may not come back from it since she's already been worked on once before but again thankyou guys from the bottom of my heart and ill keep you all posted

well just got back from the hospital again she's doing better they don't know if the clots clearing up they gotta do an angiogram whats messed up is deaconess had put her on oxygen a few months ago cause her oxygen level in her blood was low and just ASSUMED that it was from her emphysema instead of actually trying to find out why and bethesda found out that it was because of the blockage in two of her triple bypasses so if deaconess would've done their job she wouldn't be lying at bethesda right now

well now they're saying her kidneys are barely working and theres a 50 50 chance of them bouncing back or shutting down and if they shut down well you know

Well i hope they do not shut down but if they do can't they do dialysis?

the problem with them shutting down means they can't fix the problem with the blockage in her artery they even have to wait for the kidneys to improve before they can run an angiogram because the dye they use harms the kidneys but i just got back from the hospital and they're saying the kidneys are improving a little

thanks for askin im doing pretty good its hard goin and seein her all hooked up to machines but she always finds a way to make me laugh but they are saying that her kidneys are improving little by little so now its just a waiting game

well got some good news today now they're saying her kidneys are really starting to kick in and they're talking about letting her go home tuesday but she's still not out of danger from having another heart attack but she's a whole lot better but only 1/3 of her heart works

actually yeah she comes home for sure either today or tomorrow she can't wait and neither can my grandpa she just has to wait for a while for her kidneys to completely heal before they'll run the angiogram but other than that she's doing really good
