Yes, it's a freaking Honda, but T5's have the same issues.

Stronger steel shift forks lead to other issues. Instead of just breaking the cast alum. forks you now damage the synchro setup, not cheap to replace.

I have always used a dremal on the slow setting. If the teeth are that "layed" over I always replace the slider and hub. What tranny you working on? I have quite a few honda SOHC and DOHC tranny parts.
