knock in rear end

in my 67 coupe(8 inch rear). it does it every time the wheel goes around. anybody know what his could be?

Take the wheels and drums off to make sure it is not in the brakes. Also you might disconnect the driveshaft to make sure it is not a dry cap on the u-joint. Then spin it to see if it is still making the noise. If it is, then you will need to pull the axles and carrier/3rd member to get it on a work bench and see what is hanging up.

is it popping? I chipped the teeth on my ring and pinion before and it would pop when the bad teeth came around.

thanks guys i'll check that stuff out. It shouldn't be in the car much longer i got a 9 inch for it sitting in the basement.
