Current Mods are in sig, Getting gears soon and a short shifter the next time I can get ahold of Glenn. What is the best path to go after that. It wont be immediate, but I'd like to know what I should be looking for to do next. Keep in mind my end goal is to supercharge the pony sometime in the next year.

mod motors need gear to move. 4.10s a must. also any power adder will be your best mod to make. You can get up to 300RWHP but it takes some cash.

Cash really isn't the concern, but would 4.10s be a little to high for the s/c?

It might be a little high but there are a couple people running the combo that seem to like it just fine.

I've been looking at 3.73's for it, just waiting on this guy to give me a price. figured that would be a little better for the s/c and still be halfway decent on the highway for cruising. For now this is my daily driver, until i finish my zx2 with the focus svt motor.

Depends on what supercharger. If you are doing a centrifugal (procharger, vortech etc) than 4.10's would be fine. If you don't want to go 4.10's now, then I wouldn't do anything until the supercharger goes on. 3.73's on a NA Mod Motor are a waste.

Have you considered a turbo instead of a supercharger?

4.10's at the minimum.

I had 4.10's in my N/A 00 GT, 4.30's in my N/A 01 Cobra, and still have the stock 3.55's in my 03 Cobra......which will probably see 4.10's and maybe a solid rear one of these days. :bigthumb

yeah i've considered the turbo, but i think i want to stay with the tried and true s/c on the stang atleast for now. Did you notice a mpg drop with adding the 4.10s, its not that i'm too concerned with mpg, but i dont want it to drop off the face of the earth right now.

I saw about a 1 mpg drop in both of my cars, but the fun factor went up 10x and I have a heavy foot. :D

I'd add a shifter and subframe connectors. :bigthumb

Yeah, Glenn said he would sell me the short shifter that he took out of his cobra, so i'm going pick that up, Does Cincyspeed usually have gears in stock along with the bearing and install kits or do they order them just the same? also what about the speed calibration, does the electronic one stay in the car or is just a plug and play deal that i could perhaps borrow from someone to fix the speedo?

3.73's on a NA Mod Motor are a waste.

+1

4.30 in my NA Cobra and I kinda wish I woulda went with the 4.56. But I have no plans on s/c. Gas mileage was only a little loss for the grin factor.:D

Being that you have an 03, you have the 3650 tranny I belive.....you'll need to be sure that the shifter from that Cobra was on the same tranny or it won't work. (T-5's were used in the Fox bodies and I belived the 94-95's, T-45's were used in the 96-early 01's, then the 3650's were used from mid 01+)

Craig should have the gears and everything else that you need.

yeah then the shifter wouldnt work because its coming from a 97 cobra, i wasn't sure on the tranny, i kinda figured it would still be the t-5 or variant thereof, i'm used to fox bodies so, this is a learning experience for me. If i would have picked up a fox body, i damn near have everything you could ever want for the motor sitting in my garage.

i had some 4.10s installed about 2-3 years ago and im kinda sick of them, plan on supercharging so thats a few of the reasons why im putting the stocks back in, if the stocks are no fun after the s/c i might just go up to 3.55 or 3.73
