I have been busy restoring a capri for my best friend as a suprise. He was sent to Irac for 6 months back in Dec. He is not military but works for DOD and wasnt even armed over there. Thats BS. But anyway his GF and I planed to do this an in Jan I went to PA to pick it up and bring it here to do the job.I had lots of planning and searching for parts to do and the weather didnt help staying cold for so long. I completly stripped the car to bare metal and fixed the dents and installed subframes a small cage, got a hood and some other goodies along the way. The motor already ran good so I didnt really do much to it, just pulled the intake and resealed it, then cleaned and painted it. It was a long stressfull project only because I wanted it to be a close to perfect as possible. We picked a color that i knew he wanted and did some ghost flames on the front and doors. overall I was very happy with the turn out. I wanted to post this while doing it but he did have internet access over there and is a member here so I didnt want to take any chances letting the cat out of the bag. He now has the car back and it was a very emotional return. I thank him for what he did for us to stay home and do the things we do. His GF funded the project and we had other friends pitch in with things along the way. I also got some stuff from some other bangers and some great stuff from Craig. Thanks Cracker. So here is some pics, I need to get some of the interior but it is completely redone also.

Guys, good 'ol Mike here worked his ass off on the car to get it the way you see. The last I saw it, was a few weeks ago when he had just brought it home to start on.Not a bad car to start with, but needed alot of attention just the same. The next thing I knew he was calling me asking for the car trailer to take it back. He didn't do it in 7 days, but I garauntee he did the work of a whole crew by himself.
Mike, that color glows like it has chrome underneath it. Now keep your ass at home for a while and take care of yourself. Go soak it in cider or something. I'll drink one for ya.
