I went to Tri-state Sat. and ran my best time yet on motor 13.55 at 103MPH with a 1.95 60ft. I know the motor has more than that. I need some advise on suspenion stuff. I currently am running on all stock suspension to include no subframes. This is all new to me and dont want to start wasting money on stuff thats not going to improve my 60ft or ET's. What sucks even more I have a nitous kit and can't use it efficiently because I can't hook. I am running on DR's. My best time with the nitrous (75 shot) is 13.20 106MPH. I have to wait until I am in 3rd gear to start spraying or else I spin. So any help would be appreciated.

What size dr's are you running. I'd start with some HPM Megabite Jr lower control arms and a set of 90/10 struts. I wouldn't worry about subframe connectors for now. A little chassis twist will likely help on dr's.

Get an extra set of stock wheels and put some 26x8 slicks on them. That will give you your biggest improvement if you were to do one thing. What Ian said would be my first suspension improvements.

Nitto's 245/45/17

Best bet on 17" Nitto's is to drop the tire pressure to about 17 lbs and do a fairly long burnout. When leaving the line sliip the clutch out aorund 3000 rpm. Don't just drop it. I could consistantly get high 1.7 60 ft's on 275/40/17" Nitto's in my 99 Cobra. I don't have much experience with a 5.0 on Nitto's though. The Megabites will change your suspension geometry so that when you launch the rearend is driven hader into the track. The 90/10's will allow the front end to rise much easier getting the weight of the car transfered to the rear as quick as possible. Mustangboy has it right though, a set of 26 x 8.5 Micky Thompsons would greaty improve your times. If you are willing to try slicks I'd do that before the suspension components are added. Once you try slicks you won't ever want to run on street tires again:bigthumb . Spraying out of the hole is lots of fun.

I 3rd the Megabites and 90/10's and a set of slicks. I might throw in a set of 4cly springs or a drag launch spring kit. A well sorted out suspension on the slicks you could pop the clutch at about 5k on the nitrous!
