AEM has switched from oiled cotton filters to some kind of dry filter. Well they're dumping all of their old cotton filters on ebay for dirt cheap. I just picked up a 4" inlet, 9" long conical filter for 25 bucks shipped to my house, brand new. They have all different sizes, but I believe they're all coonical.

Just do a search on ebay for "AEM Filter" and the red ones that look like K&Ns are the ones I'm talking about. The gray ones you'll see are the new ones they're replacing the red ones with.

thanks for the heads up Paul. Just picked me a 4X5 a couple minutes ago.

Hell, for $25, it's a lot easier than dropping the $12 on a recharge kit and the time/effort to renew your existing filter. I never thought K&Ns worked very well after re-oiling anyway.

I never really liked the whole re oil thing either. I always think that I am adding too much oil even though it never looks like enough.

Apparently you got the last 4x9. All I am seeing is the 4x5. Hope they put some more on there cause I need one. Thanks for the info.

Well everything went smoothly aside from AEM requiring a signature for a $15 part.

FedEx doesn't deliver until 2:30, and I leave for work at 1:15. Looks like I have to drive across town to the FedEx warehouse tomorrow.
