Ok I'm lazy so before I go searching every mustang site out there let me try here. I need to find out the part # or just what fitting I need to adapt my 8.8 rear brake hose to the 4cyl hard line. I remember reading somewhere about this a long time ago but I don't remember where. I'm sure someone on here know exactly what I need to do it. Thanks guys.

No you don't have to change the hard line, there is an adapter fitting to join the two. I'm just trying to find out where to get it and a part #. If no one knows I was going to call Earl's fittings since they seem to have a bunch of different ones.

I'm getting ready to remove all my brake lines off of my car... I can get you my 5.0 fitting, will that work for you?

If you are running dumps, you can use the lines, fittings and stuff from a 7.5 and not worry about it. The only rreason you need to swap it to the middle of the trans tunnel is for exhaust clearance, Clarence.

Well I already have a brand new brake hose on the 8.8 and of course the existing hard line on the car. So now I just need the adapter to make them work together.

I plan to run dumps on my LX (GT) when its done so i wont have an issue then?

not if you use the lines that are on a 7.5 from drum to drum.

Hmm... where does the 7.5 lines run compared to the 8.8 lines? might just get a wild hair and redo them if possible....

I already have to take off my 2.3 fuel lines and put on my 5.0 fuel lines....

more damn headaches...

A 7.5 and 8.8 use the same brakes. you need the 7.5 axle lines that come from the body to the housing to the "T" and the hard lines from the "T" out to the wheel cyls. The 7.5 is offset to the passenger side.

 my luck ill destroy the lines while taking them off the 7.5, or taking the 7.5 outta the car for that matter, lol!

Thanks Kelly. I may just convert to the v8 line as Silver Bullet will no longer be using his but if that does not pan out I just may go ahead and do the fitting. I know it probably was not that much but how much did it cost?

Either ask the wife for an advance on your allowance or take out a second mortgage on the camper.

Hey Kelly that was not the fitting I needed. That was just a reducer fitting. I need the one that mates the bolt on the soft line to the hard brake line.

Did those lines and fittings work out for you?

I didn't get the chance to put them on yet. I had to catch up on some yard work. I'm sure they'll be fine though.
