Mmmmm bourbon. Its hard to find a decent selection of kentucky's finest beverage in the Dayton area. Fortunately I can always get Makers Mark and The Part Source is on the way to Mom and Dad's :D

Woodford Reserve is some good stuff fo sho! I have to recommend Elmer T Lee as my favorite bourbon out there. I have had a couple of the pricier ones and for the money I don't think it can be beat. I have seen if for 25 to 28 bucks in NKY. I think it is better than Maker's, but if you're gonna mix with soda you may not be able to tell a difference. I also really liked Baker's which is about 30 or so dollars.

cheers!

I loved Woodford when I drank, and bourbon was always my choice. I wouldn't water it down with ice though!

Try this bourbon next time you get the chance, it is incredible. I thought it blew Woodford away.

Wooford Reserve and Crown Royal are my two favorites, good call! Even though I get along better with beer please NO ONE EVER try JTS Brown 100 proof (cheapstuff), I was Ill (extreme puking 70-80 times!!) for the whole next day after drinking 90% of the fifth. I have downed whole fifths of other stuff before and never had a major problem??

I have a nice bottle of single Barrell Eagle Rare from The Party Source that I have been nursing since the Bowling Green race last fall. It definitley gets a thumbs up as well.

A good bourbon is not to be wasted on getting drunk. It should be savored with the care and dignity it deserves. Save the crap like Jack Daniels and Jim Beam for power drinking.
I have a bottle of Buffalo Trace thats chilling for a special occasion.

Ooooh I like the Evan Williams too. Good choice for a moderately priced small batch bourbon. And Knob Creek...thats kicked my ass a couple of times now. I have never been a big fan of Blantons though.

My father in law got a bottle of the 20yr Old RipVanwinkle last year and we had some around Christmas. It was very smoooooth with a great flavor and just enough heat to let you know it was there. Very tasty and although I would never turn down a bottle, I don't think I would pony up the cash for one.

Also a big thumbs up on Buffalo Trace. It has to be, to my taste, the best 18-20$ bourbon out there.
