Been tossing the idea around of doing long tubes on my 01.

I have read before that it is a nightmare install. Is this true?

I am running stock headers on a Mac Prochamber with Flowmaster 40s.

I think I can just cut down the prochamber to fit the LTs if I went that route.

Whats your opinions/advice. How "bad" of an install is it?

never done it on a newer mustang but i did it on my fox body and everybody told me it was a nightmare it aint that bad if your motor mounts and trans mount are new and you use header studs. i think ot took me like 3 hours to put them on and have the car ready to drive

There a real pain in the butt, however there worth to me... took me and a buddy of mine about 3.5 hours to R&R the old ones and install the new ones.

gigantic PITA!!! Pay some to do it and save yourself the headache...that way if something gets messed up you can turn to them to fix it.

That being said, what shop would you recommend doing the work?

Got a ballpark idea on what labor would cost?

its easy but time consuming. I dropped my K member in no time. If you have tools and mechanic now how then tackle it yourself. Have a buddy come over and help out. If you have a tubular K already you may not need to drop the K then.

I would call Cincy Speed or MD and see if they will do the work and save your self the pain... and I do mean PAIN!
