93 lincoln mark 8 trans off 4valve 4.6. only 50,000 miles. dont know what else it fits

That is a 4R70w off a markVIII. The 93 models are special because they contain the only hardened output shaft that can be used in an aod transmission with the governor. The shaft is worth the $300 if it is a 93 original trans.

I guess I need to look at the tag on the side huh. It may be worth holding on to.

I suggest pulling the extension housing. If it has an extra snap ring holding on a little sleeve that blocks the governor passages it is the good shaft. The later ones that was deleted.
