Hell Yeah!!! Sweet picks Jon,

Digging on the Dinosaur Jr DVD for the past couple weekends.

I got to see J. Mascis a few years ago at Top Cat's. It was really cool cause he was just there hanging out while all the opening bands were playing. A good bit of the show was him playing acoustic by himself. He looks kinda funny with that stringy silver hair, but he still rocks. I think I've owned every CD Dinosaur Jr ever made( well some of them were tapes), but someone stole my car a few years back and I lost my CD collection. I am slowly aquiring all of them again.

Most of it's pretty heavy/hardcore though.

Speaking of "old fear factory" Dino Cazares (the origional FF guitarist) Is in a new band called Divine Heresy...and they pretty much kick ass. If they stay together, I think they'll be a force to be reckoned with. The drummer has won the worlds fastest drummer competition( he says he can hit 250 bpm in 16th notes!) anyway, peep this...

Pretty good...but honestly i never liked Dino...not even when he was with FF. I thought he weighed down the band and apparently i was right. He's little more than a 7 string palm-muting power chord guitarist....Christian is a much better guitar player any day. Also that drummer is pretty badass....i dunno if he's better than Raymond though :D

Yeah the whole dynamic is very fear factory-ish but I think the singer brings it all together pretty well. Dude's got a throat....As far as their skill goes, is is what it is.....fast, very fast. Nothing real elaborate, just fast, ballsy metal. I think if they stay together, it will get better. I'd mosh to it.
