if i put a wet kit on my car and i put a 6200rpm chip in my msd 6al box will it keep me from getting a nitrous backfire and blowing a head gasket? or should i put a 6000 pill in it to keep it farther from the factory rev limiter? thanks for any info

it depends on where your powerband shift point is at. Most people run a 6K just to be on the safe side.

I would agree with 6k. Risk/benefit is it worth the damage for the 200rpms. Let us know how the beast runs with the spray.

you need to get a rpm window switch to go along with your 6al ignition and have the window set at 3000rpm to have nitrous come on and 5800-6000 to go off and then put a 6200rpm chip in your msd 6al box. this way the nitrous quits spraying 200-400rpm before the rev limiter so when you miss a gear or powershift a gear and hit rev limiter accidently your not screwed

so your answer to the question above using your msd 6al (ignition box) only is a no no, its a rev limiter only, if you spray it to you hit the rev limiter chip and then what you fear will probably happen.

I am with NX_Express :wstupid: Window Switch. Easy to wire up and keeps stuff safe. My window switch is set from 4000-7000. My top limiter in my 7al2 is 7200.

You really dont want to pull spark or fuel with a limiter while it is spraying
