Well after a few months of trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go with my next project. I decided I wanted to stay turbo but with a twist, big block, blow thru. Ive never seen a big block turbo street car in person. So I started looking and talking to people about 460 based engines and feel its the best route for me to go. Now all needed was the perfect car. A buddy of mine knew where a 89 5.0 hatch was sitting in a field and said it needed a good home (before it ended up in the shredder). So we went and checked it out and damn it was ugly peeling blue paint, surface rust on the roof, and a two piece hatch LOL. After the gentelman gave me a price I could not refuse some of the Mafia members and myself loaded it up (thats a whole different story in its self). Once I got all the grass and weeds and dried mud off of it today I was rather pleased with the condition of the car. The underside is 100% rust free and so is the engine bay. The body is dent free and only has minor surface rust here and there. So now to the topic at hand. My plans for the car is this:

557 Stroker with ported Trick flow A-460 heads and intake
CSU blow thru carb and fuel system
Wolfe cage and mini tubs
UPR suspension
Power Glide trans
Garret 91mm turbo
And keep the car street legal.

As for the name Sherman, This thing is going to have the TQ of a tank and the paint job to match. Plated and I have came up with a very unique paint job that I think will be very cool so stay tuned. My goal is to have this thing done by 09.

Honestly I think you should just look at doing a full backhalf on the car. Trying to hook up a turbo'd big block is going to take all the tire you can get. Good luck and I can't wait to see the progression.:bigthumb

Nah it can be done on 10.5 inch tires the outlaw cars are doing it with 1400+horsepower

maybe tank treads would be better than tires

Outlaw cars aren't doing it on the street either in fact that don't do it so well on the track. They manage to get down the track but still have alot of tire spin and shake. That is also on a full slick w/ a super prepped track. I guess you could always dial it back to about 3-5lbs of boost on the street. I would guess naturally aspirated that combo should be good for about 700hp and probably about the same torque wise. On top of that add a 91mm and you are easily over the 1000hp mark. No matter what suspension you put under the car it will be one hell of a ride on the street.:bigthumb

Digital 7 ramp in the timing and run what ever size tire you wish.
