That is sweet. I sure would like to have my motorcraft banner signed by him. I have his Dad and Rusty from when they were both in pro stock. It would be cool to complete the collection

thats awesome,

it's funny, i've got top fuel guys i like, funny car, and motorcycle guys, but i always fast forward through the pro stock class,

looks like i'll have someone to cheer for

i still remember the time me and glidden got pulled over together on the pa turnpike, lol

he tried to pull a fast one on the cops, so i got to go fast while he was stuck there for a half hour :)

I was in his pits yesterday when he fired it up for the first time about three o'clock. He said Tuesday he got the call from NHRA to tell him he was in and at that time the car was sitting in the back corner of his shop with no engine, tranny, or computer. The RacPak came in Wednesday and he got the engine from Steve Schmidt on Thursday. So they have pretty much been building the car at the track. Yesterday was the first time he let the clutch out and it went a 6.79 with some tire shake and a bad clutch switch which was turning on the 2 step through out the run. Today in the second round he went a 6.75 and he hasn't even started tuning on the engine yet. He said he knew it was fat but without the O2's hooked up he didn't know how much. Last night he said that he would have been happy with a 6.83 to a 6.85 for the weekend so he was happy with the 6.79.

Couldn't believe when they called his name Friday. Got a pic but no autograph. God that nitro smell is awesome..... kind of makes your eyes water just a little.

Looks like he didn't make it. I think he ended up with a 6.75x needed a 6.70x (I forget the last digits.) Warren Johnson didn't qualify either:eek:

Yeah he didn't make it but considering he did not even have a complete car on Tuesday and still managed to throw together a used combo and do what he did is very impressive. It makes you wonder what he could do with some real financial backing and some time to acutally test.:cool2:

I've been a fan of the Glidden's over the years.
So with no pro stock backing available from Ford, its sad to see Bill and Bob working with other makes, after having so much success in Fords.
