Would I have to use the 4cyl driveshaft with the big ass counterweight on it when I put the trans behind my 302 or could I use a regular driveshaft?

just to clarify... he is using the 4 cylinder trans that i traded him... and will he need to use the 4 cylinder driveshaft with the larger front counterwieght versus the V8 shaft with the smaller counterweight? (which I need from you for my world class, Rick)

I know guys that have swapped in a 4 cyc into a V8 and run the stock driveshaft with no issues.

Some 4 cyl shafts are smaller than cars with v8s. I had issues when I did my swap with the t 2.3. I couldnt use the stock shaft (from the auto) due to a different spline count on the output shaft. The Tbird shaft was too long so I used the weighted yoke from the bird on my stock auto 2.3 driveshaft. I could have gotten an alum or v8/manual stocker but never got around to it.

Thanks for the info but if it comes down to it I will just use a giant stick with some cans tied to them, cause mostly everythings made out of Cans and Sticks.....

To add to Dedpedal's post, I now have the t2.3 and put a V8 motorsport aluminum driveshaft on the car. No problems at all.
