Wire alternator hook up.

I know i dont take vary much sense to hook a one wire alternator up but im havin trouble i got it ran to the battery like they said to do and as somone told me but the battery cant seem to stay charged the alt is brand new from summit anyone know anything or had this problem...:eek:

Dumn question but you sure the battery is any good.

The only problem that i have had is that the pulley size is off and the alt. will not charge until about 1,300 rpm. Do you have the wire going directly to the battery or through a distribution block?

The battery is brand new and i got it hooked to the hot.

What guage wire do you have running to your Batt? I had a problem with that and went bigger. Also do you have the batt in back? Where is you ground? Motor or chassis?
