Riley Ann Bryant was born tonight, October 2, 2007 @ 7:45pm.

She weights 7lbs 5oz and is 20.5 inches in length.

She put up a fight. Jill was in labor since Monday at 11:30am. Jill had some very minor complications, but otherwise it was a smooth delivery.

Baby and Jill will be home probably on Thursday. Im going to get a good night's sleep in my own bed (that couch last night up there sucked) then off the hospital bright and early in the AM.

Heres the pics I got so far... the red mark on her face is from the forceps (called simpsons) they pulled her out with... they will go away.

Congrats!! I've been wondering if you just forgot to post up. Glad things went well. Mom looks really happy its over! Course now the real fun begins.

Ive got a lot of experience already, since I have a 6 year old son from a previous marriage... this is her first. Sleepless nights to begin again!!

Thanks everyone! :)

It was deffinately an experience :).

The short version (no major details for the guys sake hehe)

We checked in at 11, was started on the meds at 12, (went in at 1cm dialated) by midnight was only at 2...but the contractions were hitting hard and fast, was moved to labor and delivery by 3, got my epidural, got started on pitocin, and hours later made it to about 4cm, they broke my water around 8am i believe, and it took 12 more hours to get to 10 cm. I had a dead spot in my epidural so they had to keep hitting me up with the epidural shots, i had a fever and was put on antibiotics, pushed maybe 6 sessions of 3, and with the help of the forceps she was out. So yeah, 30 something hours later I finally got to meet the lil girl who was just too comfy in there.

Its been a week and i've already dropped 20 pounds (i only gained 34) its crazy how the body changes during and after.

She has gained a few ounces, and lifts her head like a pro. She is pretty good at night (knock on wood) she does have her moments, but overall a very good baby.

Deffinately feel blessed.

Glad things went well. She really didn't want to come out. Can say I blame her. All nice and warm and quiet in there. *smile* She's beautiful. The body does change quickly. Amazing what our bodies can do!! Welcome to parenthood!!
