I have just sold my 2001 GT with 505 rwhp. Now I am looking for another candidate to build or buy built. I have $20k to spend and would like to have 505 rwhp. again. I am looking at the 2000 to 2005 mustangs. 03 & 04 cobras maybe, also the 2001 and 02 saleens supercharged. The saleens are the right look that I am after but the motor is stock GT but supercharged. Not forged internals. In order to get it to 505 rwhp. I would have to get the bottom end built and cam it and the stock roots style blower may not be up to the task. I am wondering what a guestimate price it would take to turn a 2001 supercharged stock saleen into 505rwhp? I also wondered about taking an 01 cobra and runing boost to it but wonder if that motor can handle enough for the hp that I desire. I am looking for some direction and knowledge and if anyone knows someone who is selling something that might meet my criteria. Thanks for any help! :bigthumb

03 or 04 cobra..... chip tune and pully and you'll be close... and still have a streetable car

Is a 2001 mustang bullit edition cars motor a 3 valve and is the bottom end the same as a gt's or is it forged internals?

bullits are 2V GTs with some suspension and exterior differences.

Not sure if your interested but my brother still has his modded '03 cobra vert for sale for $25K. It put down ~495rwhp at MD with KenB's tune in it. It's pretty much built now...just a KB and fuel system away from 600+ at the wheels.
