We just picked up a 32" Spectra flat screen for the bedroom to replace our old TV. We only have the cable wire hooked up right to the TV w/ no box. The TV picks up all sorts of hidden channels plus 5,9,12,and 19 in HD. Watching Shark last night was awesome. The picture is so much clearer then the standard channels. I can't imagine if we had an HD box to go along with it. We got ours from Micro Center for $520 out the door. One of the best investments we have made so far. If anyone is thinking about buying an HD tv you should not hold back. Its worth it :bigthumb Thanks for all the info AJ.

Here in about another month I'm going to make a purchase on a nice 65" TV with surround sound. I'm looking forward to watching basketball on it.

No kidding! Did you buy your TV on the 'net or at a local electronic store?

I bought it from Best Buy in Eastgate. Waited until they were getting ready to bring out the next years models and negotiated the hell out of it. Ended up paying several hundred $$$ less than they were asking. :D I picked it up a few years ago so it's not an LCD or plasma. It was one of the last model Toshiba 65" rear projection HDTV's they carried. I absolutely love the TV though! I have considered making the move to DLP several times but honestly preferred the HD picture on mine over the DLP's I have looked at.

Who did the negotiating? ;)

I love both our TV's, the 65" is awesome for movies and the 32" is great. HD is the best!

We bought a 52" HD from Best Buy 2 years ago and you have to squint to watch standard TV after you watch HD for awhile. I love our TV and will never go back to standard TV again.
