how can the gear be that off? lmao, and how the hell do u fix it? never done it before

what year? 99+ you need tuned if you did a gear swap or your speed sensor is way messed up...98> you can you use gear tooths to 4.10 gears...past that you need a DM Speed Cal.

What year is your car? I replaced my trans out of my 96 gt with one out of a 99 with a electronic sensor and it did the same thing. I had to switch the tail shaft housing and switch out the speed sensor gear for the plastic toothed gear.

yep thats what it is. You need your old trans tail shaft cover (housing) and the plastic gear off the tailshaft. Swap them and your fixed. The reason your having the problems is because the 99 up cars uses a magnetic pickup and the 96 - 98's use the geared version. If you don't have the stuff, I might be able to help you out.
