Flowmaster

So I have about 10K on the flowmasters I have. They are the American thunder and they = JUNK. The both have what sounds to be broken Baffles inside and they rattle uncontrollably. I contacted Flowmaster and they said that they will not replace.:flipoff: ???? I have been a long time customer and this has left a dirty taste in my mouth. Any suggestions?

That stinks Bill. I hate to hear that. Buy some new ones, clean up the old JUNK ones, put them back in the box and send them back. Maybe that might work.

Bill I have seen discusssions online with this very problem on the S197 system. Post on forums have people list their dissatisfaction. Then have them email them daily demanding to make good on their product. You may not get an answer but overload their system and let them know you are not happy.

Hey Bill, where did you buy them from? I didnt have a reciept for mine either, but they took mine back. I went through 4 sets! Now I am running Flowmaster original 40 series.

I would suggest calling Flowmaster tech support. Ask for Mark Emerson. I dealt with him, and he was great. They know they have defective product, and they should fix it. I was told on the last set I got that it was fixed. I ran them for about 2 months and had no issues, but who knows.

I have had many different Flowmaster mufflers, of course i changed mine because I wanted to try different sounds. I suggest that if you do decide to go with Flowmaster again then go with 40 Series or the new Super44. everyone i know that has had the American thunder mufflers either didnt like them or had problems with them

Ive got 40 series on one stang and a set of VX knockoff 40 series on another,they both sound the same and have the same internall baffleing.If you want a set they run about 40 bucks a piece.I havent had any issues with the baffleing broken but if i had to i would talk to a rep at flowmaster and see where they can go from there.Or better yet ill call them for you,im pretty good with people.

Good news.I contacted the place that I purchased them from and they want me to send them back and they are going to send them to Flowmaster. Situation solved. Car will be in the garage for about a month:(. Thanksfor the info.
