well I just added up all my hours and I had 172 hours of work in 12days time. Of course everything over 80 is considered OT :D but once mr. taxman gets his cut its going to suck big time :( Oh well. There are talks about me going back down in Feb for another week or so  The Bahamas was nice though for the one day I got to enjoy not working since they didn't deliver the tools and parts :cool2:

You should tell them that since you did all that work in the Bahamas and there is no tax in the Bahamas that you shouldnt be taxed for the time you was there:bigthumb

So you're bitching because you made a whole bunch of money on overtime and now you have to pay taxes on it?

Boo-fucking-hoo. ;)

I'd rather have 70% of something than 100% of nothing. :D

Taxes do suck. I worked on a project in Puerto Rico from January 07 - June 07 and was paid a very large bonus only to find out I had to give $15K back to Uncle Sam.:mad:WTF!! My only hope is that I see some of that back at tax time next year.

Vinny is getting nastygrams from the Hamilton County Child Support saying they are going to take his tax refund for non-payment (arrearage). :bangwall: Good luck with that!

Overtime tax methods simply dont make sense to me. Work your ass off for less ? I get pissed because my boss allways tries to fit 40 hours in (worked) around a paid holiday. It like he thinks hes getting a bonus and not having to pay me for working late 4 days. These rules make me want to be lazy and not do shit for the time Im there. Personaly, I think there should be a bigger pay for overtime and the employer should have a bit more say in whether or not the employee is working for it or just milking the clock.

When my wife passed we had split up and she was paying me child support. I received a court notice about a month later letting me know that her case was coming up for non-support. Well I called the county and informed the lady that answered that she had passed so they could take her out of the computer. In a really shitty tone this lady tells my that I had to bring them the death certificate. I was like FU you can call the Coroner yourself and if not go ahead and throw her in jail but you'll need a couple of shovels first. I never did get another notice after that.

If I was you Holly send them a letter explaining that he has passed and please send anymore mail concerning the matter to this address(cemetery's). They should get the hint then. I know it sucks enough when you are reminded of that person enough without some other bozo reminding you as well.

Apparently not if he's still getting letters saying he is in arrears (it was two weeks ago when he received that notice, now there is a certified mail slip saying he has something at the post office from them).

I did that (sent a letter), I faxed his death certificate, I called his case worker (I have her direct line), it was supposed to be all taken care of, yet he's still getting nasty grams from Hamilton County. Oh well, I'm done trying to get it through their heads that he's never going to pay it! :flipoff: I guess it just takes awhile for stuff (UPDATES) to get into their system.

Yeah it was a messed up time and the lady pissed me off. It was more how she said it than what she said. All i was trying to do was save them the cost of having the court date. I hate civil employees.

The other thing I failed to mention was I called my uncle who worked for the county and let him know about this b at the CESA(?) office. That's probably why they never called me back.

Anyway i'm jacking someone's thread. Sorry....
