Speedometer

I just replaced all my guages in my 89 lx with autometer ultra lites. Does anyone know what i need to do to sync the 120 mph autometer guage to the mustang manual transmission. Hopefully all I need to do is change the gear that I can take out with the speedometer cable and not have to screw with the gear in the trans.

Is the gauge mechanical or electrical?

A stock speedo cable will not work w/ the auto meter guages. I got a cable from a speedo shop autometer referred me to. Their web addy is www.speedometersolutions.com. They could probably hook you up on the right tranny gear too. BTW the cable is $65 plus shipping.
