I have an almost completely stock non modified 1987 Mustang Convertible GT with 99K on the clock. Look at them stock turbines man they are clean.
This car was a garage queen and never saw rain or snow according to the PO who had it in his family for over 17 years (him and his brother in law). It was a local Cinci car. Believe me after i crawled under it I believed him. It was painted once due to vandalism.
I rebuilt the rear power window motor bushings. I have a set for the front but have not gotten to it yet.
I have some parts for it that come in the deal.
-New black top
-New black headliner
-New Carpet
-steeda lowering spring
-like new KYB shocks and struts
-new insulators for the springs (uppers and lowers)
-a box full of misc stuff.
-set of unique alum wheels
The top on it is good and really only needs the window portion of it replaced which can be done separately and is in the kit. The lower outer portion of the window is delaminating from the vinyl.
I bought this to play with and am still debating if i want to go another route. Jeff and Chris at Precision Automotive know this car and installed a cat back off my old 2004 GT on it.
The Good:
-Paint is in great shape
-No rust
-Tires are like new
-Interior in great shape (no rips in seats, dash is not cracked, and its clean)
-New MP3 / IPOD input stereo (not pictured - SONY)
-New polk audio speakers in the rear
-Newer exhaust (2004 factory GT setup)
-Clean Engine compartment
-runs like a champ fires right up
-no electrical gremlins, it starts straight up and I never have to disconnect the battery
-Center Console is complete functional and the ashtray door has been repaired (spring mount)
-all power options work
-Jeff and Chris went over this car when I bought it and stated it was in great shape (It still has the speed density system).
The BAD:
-It has a small oil pan drip, could do with a new set of gaskets.
-It needs a starter - the one I have in it works ok for 2-3 starts then wont turn over the car till it cools down (suspect heat soak).
-Rear curtain of the Top could stand to be replaced.
-AC is dead but all there (condensor inside car has a leak) I have some of the parts to fix it.
I was thinking 6500 cash, no trades. I can tell you there is over 1K in new parts alone. If the right offer does not come along I will begin to fix it and the price will go up.
Here are a few pics.
