I got really bored last night and decided to run out and play with my camera and make a couple exhaust clips. I do this stuff all the time with the Mustang but this is the first chance i've had to do the XR. The exhaust is the stock down pipe and then a puny little 2'' straight pipe, crush bends and all, all the way back to where it crosses over behind the gas tank, where there's some kind of long resonator...no idea what brand, and then it exits out the left side. It definitely leaves a lot to be desired in the performance dept. but i kinda like how it sounds. I had NO idea it was this loud before i did the clips, since i did the straight pipe after it got cold and i haven't drove it with the windows down any.

Also i should note about the car wash booth clip....i've done a lot of experimenting and found that with your typical cheap microphone that you get with a camcorder, you lose a lot of sound when the car is "outside" and that a garage or car wash or something that acts to add some acoustic depth really helps to give a truer sound.

(both have the same cheesy intro  )
