So I find out yesterday evening that I am getting activated. Total load of crap. I am heading over for 8 months.
I spent 4 years in active duty. I am currently in the unactive reserve. Never thought I would actually get this call. I guess they are running low on recruits! Really dont want to go. I have to much crap oing on right now. I am not against what we are doing just feel I have been there and served. At least have a few weeks to get things in order here. grrrrrrr

Indeed sir, thank you for your service. My brother got back about a year ago and was actually looking to go again. I guess he recently took a job as a recruiter though, so maybe he'll stay here.

Looks like I will be attached to the 1st Brigade Combat team. They are currently over there. So not sure if they will change it on me.

I'm sure that must be tough to deal with. A friend of mine is in training right now and will be heading over in Feb/March with the Marines. I hope you can get everything taken care of and that you are safe over there. Thank you for your service, we wouldn't have a country without people like you.

That does suck man. I know what it's like fearing that they'll call you back when you're finally getting civilian life back together. Luckily for me, I never got that call and my 8 years (5 active, 3 inactive) expired. Good luck to you, and thanks for your service. You've done it before, so you'll get through it.
