I live in one of the highest spots in Kenton County, and we always have strong winds, But I never thought this would happen to my 18 month old house.

We have had siding issues all summer, so at least the builders are fixing it for free. Worse part is, the area is outside my sons room...Needles to say we have not been sleeping much.

I feel your pain. I live in a very windy area too, and I am constantly fixing the roof. Whenever there is a wind advisory I expect the worst.

That sucks. I think I have a small piece of siding to fix as well. My wife said she thought she saw a piece sticking on on one corner.

Where do you live in Kenton County? Our house is also on the top part of a hill...wind always seems to come out of the SW right at the corner our bedroom is in.

I live off Senour Rd, between 16 and Fowler Creek, but still on top of the hill.

I live about 2 minutes from there and there were also a couple houses in our neighborhood that had wind damage....

Ok...I go right past there several times a month. I take Senour to 16 anytime the wife and I go over to eat at Knuck & Futz. We live over off of Independence Station/Cody Road...off of Troopers Crossing.

I'd actually like to see a topgraphy map of Kenton Co to see the actual highest point. My grandpa owned the land we now live on 60 years ago and somewhere along the line he was told that where our house sits is one of the highest and possible the highest point in the county. I tried looking it up on the internet once with no luck. So if someone has access to this info I'd like to find out if this is true or not. I guess I could always get a GPS system and drive around checking the altitude.

Kenny, drive around in your coupe. Add 2 feet when you launch the wheels off the ground.

I work for the FD in Independence, it was busy tuesday night. Even at the firehouse it sounded like the building was gonna rip apart.

Damn man, that sucks. Was it a defect in the siding or a problem with the way it was installed? Are they offering any type of warranty in case it happens again?

We just bought a new maple street home about two months ago (summerlake development in campbell county). I hope this was a freak accident and isn't indicative of MSH's build quality.

Damn, that is really close to me. I live WAY back off Crystal Lake, next to the road that is blocked off for no apparent reason.

Thats off Hands Pike right? Or you can connect to Senour from Sugar Camp...Am I thinking of the right place?

I'm up in the Fowler Ridge area and we usually have a few houses that usually get wind damage but not this time for some reason. Glad to hear the builders will take care of it for ya.
