What are you looking for?? At 16, employers aren't going to give you much credit cause you don't have any in their eyes. Face facts, you aren't going to get a 40,000 a year job while you are still in high school.

variours places

Something I had to learn when I was 16.....Swallow it up, there is no glamerous job for a 16 year old. But you know what.....

I know many Landscapers that will happily pay you 11 or 12 bucks under the table if your not afraid to sweat.

If you know your way around concrete, or at least can be a wheel man (250lb wheel barrels of concrete), then someone will always hire you!

Also, dont be afraid to go sign up at a temp service.

I don't see anywhere in his post that he's not happy with money being offered. Just that he's not getting hired. Maybe my eyes are going. Good Luck Ryan!! The right one will come along.

i have no problem with having to work physical work, only problem is is just nothing is hiring. ive applied at fast food joints, Kroger's, giant eagle, many different car oriented places a few places at the mall...

Ryan, Don't know what you are looking for, but I would think that restaurants hire all the time. I worked restaurants all through high school and college. But with the job market the way it is, I wouldn't be surprised at anything. Good Luck!!!

Ryan is the wrong "Ethnicity" to be hired by a fast food restaurant these days. this isnt a slam or a joke, it is a fact.

Ryan, There are many tricks to a good interview. Clothing (properly worn), hygiene, eye contact, speech, body language, attitude, respect. You can do all of this right, and still not get the job, but it always helps to try and instill confidence.

Pizza delivery driver. I got my driving experience doing that at 16. It was fun, left every night with a full tank of gas and some cash in my pocket, and got a paycheck on friday. I did put alot of miles on my car though. Back then I was driving a 73 Charger.

Due to you still being a student, and under 18, doubt you can get on here........

FedEx Freight has openings for part-time dock employees. Pay starts around $12-13/hr with morning and evening shifts. You will be driving a forklift 70% of the time and have opportunities for advancement. This position is pretty flexible on hours.

They are also in need of a part-time office associate. You will be responsible for taking calls, answering emails, and billing. I am unsure of what the pay starts.

Anyone considered for a position will be subject to a drug test prior to your first day of work. They do not do randoms.

Note: You MUST apply at the center, there is no other way of applying. If you do apply, dress nice. If you would like a referral (no incentive for me), let me know. Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
