You're gonna have to workout like a bandit, snack on fruits and veggies, drink tons of water, basically go cold turkey on all the good stuff you preferred in the past. At some point in time, your body will quit craving the junk food items, you're stomach will feel full quicker, and you'll shed weight respectively. The secret I've learned is to do this gradually but consistantly, and your body will change, energy levels increase, sleep, waking up, and the desire to get exercise all improve. Pack the healthy snacks to take with you, and eat just the meat, chicken and fish from fast food sandwiches!

Losing the sodas was the best thing for me. I still have one now and then, but nothing like the 6 or 7 a day I used to drink. Ive been woried that Ill gain weight since I quit smoking but at trip to the scale today registered only 1 pound more now that the last time I was on a scale before Xmas. I do have to resist overdoing it tho. Thats where will power comes in.

Well, its been a few weeks. Hows it coming? You have to be seeing progress if your still with it.

Im starting to get back into it as well. Right now is the first time Ive been over 225lbs. in probably three years. I feel like crap as well.
I havent started back running yet, but I will probably slowly work into it this coming week. Ive been hitting the elliptical pretty hard the past week at the and a half at the gym. Usually almost an hour a day and burning about 1000 calories. Also getting back into lifting.

Changing my diet will be the hardest thing for me. Ive gotten back to my old ways in the past year or so. It just hurts too much to go hungry, and usually it seems to be more of a hassle to cook for almost every meal. But I will start trying to eat smaller portions and lighter foods. It helps that I love veggies and meat, but usually dont like dairy products.

Good luck with it bro, keep us updated. :bigthumb
