Push on the decklid or hatch and see if it bounces alot.Or if its really easy to push down.

Im going with these guys, most likely the upper control arm bushings, but definetly replace uppers and lowers.

Did you by chance have the rear axle out of the car any time recently? Sometimes if you torque all the control arm bolts down with the rear axle hanging this puts the bushings in a bind which might explain why you cant push down on the back of the car. Also make sure you havent ripped out a upper control arm mount or bottom torque box which would really explain why your car is moving around as you say. If its just the bushings than they must really be bad and should be easy to identify just by looking at them.

No the torque box can be repaired you just have to find somone who's not only a skilled welder but also familiar with the mustangs and that particular problem. Weld in some battle boxes while your at it and you'll be better than new. Make sure thats your problem first as it was just one possibility after reading your post. It could be something as simple as a bushing.

I had a loose rear end right after Chipoltle...

I'll bet you have an old bushing letting it twist up a bit more than it should.

Definitely look into the torque boxes. My buddy's old coupe had one literally rip off the floor pan. Aside from performance loss, think about how dangerous that is...

Normally when their pushed up its because someone tried to use a jack or placed a jack stand there to support the vehicle. Do you have a digital camera that you could maybe get a few pics of the area? The area that your lower control arm bolts into is your torque box. Any performance shops in your area or the ones posted here on stangbangerz Im sure would be willing to help you.
