Hey,
I just picked up a nice running 351 Lightning engine from a 93 or 94 lightning. I'd like to build it for up for a supercharger set up. So, I plan on a trick flow top end, Heads, cam, intake, that sort of thing. Will I need to change pistons and rods? Also, who would you go with for a 408 kit for one of these?

Thanks,
Chris

how much boost out of the blower?

i'd go 408 with a forged bottom end. but that's just me. others may have more of an opinion. lol

Brian at ADperformance is where I bought my stroker kit. He's always having sales on stroker kits. I paid 1000.00 for my forged bottom end during a sale. IMO, I wouldn't change anything on it, unless you plan on making 6-700 hp. Keep in mind, the more cubes you run, the bigger the blower will need to be to supply the motor.

Big cubes make Big power. You could make 500-600 Flywheel HP with a mild 408 without a blower. With a blower you would be able to make enough power to split the block. The only thing I have heard about big cubes with blowers and turbos is that keeping the compression low 8.5-9.0 is harder to do.
