Need HELP

Today went out and startd the Mustang. It's a 93 gt. Noticed that the battery light was on. Well New battery so I guess Alt. But My Question is, I drove it and anything about 1500 RPM battery light goes out. Neddles stays where it is, Two lines abouve the red. So I thought Regulator. Replaced that and now the battery light is out, but neddle still hasn't moved up. So with that said any ideals? Oh I guess it has a newr style Alt on it if that means anything.

Does it have underdrive pulleys?

And also, how did you replace the regulator? The regulator is built in the alternator.

Ok update. The regulator is on the alt. $40.00 at auto zone. Well just put a new alt on it and getting the same thing. Battery light isn't coming on anymore. But the gage is still down.

Found the problem. Who ever upgraded it didn't upgrade the wiring.
