anyone know the part number for a 88 ho i want to eliminate the smog pump by a smaller belt no a\c and do i have to pinch the steel line to the back of the heads and is there any other things i will need to do to accomplish this task.

Your best bet is to drive the car to Vatozone and try a handful of belts till you find the one you need and keep the part number handy for the next time you need a belt. Other than that, I think thats all you need.

You need to plug the back of the heads as well.

i have a 5.0 HO in my tbird and i eliminated my smog pump, i didnt clamp anything i just used a shorter belt and left everything on there for now, but anyways this is what i found

for without smog pump: 930K6 (93 inches long, 6 ribbed)

for without smog pump and a/c: 900k6 (90 inches, 6 ribbed)

the belt setup from the tbird 5.0 HO should be the same as the mustang, someone correct me if im wrong

thanks ill give that a shot
