My wife witnessed this hound mix being thrown out of a car on st rt 125 a few weeks ago. She took it to the vet and had it checked. All is ok. No one seems to be looking for this dog. We have checked at the pound and other places. We already have 2 labs and 2 cats. So we really don't have room for another dog. He is a sweet thing but is hand shy and scared of men. He is not aggressive at all just scared. Other than that he makes a nice little pet, we just don't have the room. He is crate trained and sleeps all night.

Your wife is a good person for picking him up, I would probably go through the roof if I saw someone throw a dog out of a car.

Good luck finding him a home.

Any idea on how old he is? Is he potty trained and good about letting you know when he wants out? I know someone who may be interested, so please let me know.

He does very well going outside. He is usualy in someones lap so he goes out when you take him. He stays in his cage all day while we are at work, sometimes 10 hours or so and goes right to the door after he jumps up and down 50 -60 time excited that someone is paying attention to him. He was 17lbs when she took him to the vet. I am sure he has gained a pound or 2 since he is getting fed usually twice a day. If you want a lap dog, here he is!!!

I'll pass the info along and see and will get back to you. Did they give any indication on his age?

So how does he do around cats? How about children? We're very interested as long as he can get along with 2 cats and a 5 year old.

:DHe is great with kids..... In fact LOVES them, as far as cats we have two and he could care less what they do.... The only thing he has to do with the cats is sneeking and eating their food. He will make a wonderful pet for soemone I couldn't see him going to home without children. He loves to romp and play.
We have a 6 and 4 yr old and he is awesome
THanks

Well it's a no go for me...seems there's a completely unreasonable increase rent for having a dog... :(

Here ya go.... I wake up about 2am and the pup is howling...hmmmmm Gotta pee?

I get up take him out and next thing you know he has pulled off of his collar and is gone!!
I comence to chase..................The little shit can run!!!! but he got away

So, I wake up this morning and who do I see going running past my patio door........You guessed it!
So I left the blinds open and about an hour later I look out the door and there he is sitting at the door. He is so timid I opened the door and coaxed him in with a piece of cheese and guess where he is now......curled up on the couch watching tv. This is going to be an adventure. :)

He is apparently much more active without two 100+ pound. labs picking on him:lol: We never even tried a leash. He would go out do his stuff in the flower bed and come back in (with a little coxing with a doggie treat)
Good luck man. We hope he works out. Sorry for any mishaps:o

So what did you name him? Perhaps you can start a thread about his and your adventures!

91lxnos
03-17-2008, 09:20 AM
well, he is starting to settle in. He finally ate something and his tail came out from between his legs for the firastime this morning. As for a name I have been calling him "stormy" becuse I was told he was rescued while it was storming, but we will have to see what the girls say tonight when they meet him for the first time. I put him in my laundry room last nite while I went to work at 10pm when I got home at 6:30 and got a nap till 9am I got him out and no accidents!!!! We went outside and took a dump!!!!! Well he did not me. He has claimed a spot on the couch already. Whenever I go into another room he is on my heels. But the poor thing is still shaking like a leaf when we go outside so time will tell.:bigthumb
