bout to drop a 351 into my 90gt was wondering what might be the best motor mounts to do this with ,so i"m coming to the cradle of knowledge for help.
1 would like for the motor to sit a little lower
would this affect my shortie to x pipe hook-up?

convertible mounts supposedly drop it a little bit, or you could get a set of drop solid mounts from HPM. the hpm mounts will drop it 3/4 of an inch, but might cause clearance issues with the k member and the oil pan.
it shouldn't cause any issues with the shorties to the x-pipe. i didn't have any problems, and i used the drop solids

no problem. some people don't like the solid mounts, because the motor won't move at all, which can put stress on the transmission. but i like them lol

I use a set a set of HPM 3/4" drop solid mounts on my 8.2" 347 in my coupe. They work great. I run a poly tranny mount....you don't want to run solid motor and tranny mounts...there has to be some give in the driveline. You can also run eyebolt style turnbuckle as a torque limiting strap...go from the front of the head to the front swaybar mount.

I just bought the Competition Engineering kit...for $60 bucks you could probably make one yourself for less but it's a nice kit and pretty simple to install.
