What are people running street tire psi? I was just reading mm&ff. They had a roush drag pack. On the street tires they where running 25psi in the rear. On the front they jumped up to 50psi. Said it would help with top end speed. Anyone ever try that? Does everyone do burnouts on street tires? On my two trips last year i wasn't doing them. Best pass was a 13.48 at 106mph at 30 psi. Just wondering how to knock a little time off on street tires. Thanks

No body has anything on street tire psi for the track?

A set of drag radials or slicks will do you wonders. Try running your street tires at the track and experiment with different pressures. Slicks and Drag radials you have to figure out the same way. After I ran a set of slicks and drag radials I never ran street tires again.

street tires are a waste of time for me, but I used to run 25-30 psi.

I now run 10-14 psi in my DR's. :D

I know there not the best. I'm waiting to get a set of dr until i find rims i want. I'm also considering just buying 2 more stock rims and putting a set on. I can then switch from dr to street tires.

That sounds about right. I decided to up the PSI in my DD to 50psi all around and it gained 1 mph and dropped the et by .2 seconds. As for my Cobra I ran 32-36 psi in my Street tires but they only lead to 12.8@116.71 with terrible 60' but from what I hear that's not too bad on F1's and having 462ft-lb of torque.

BTW I've seen a stock Mach1 go 13.1@107 on stock radials and cut a 2.0 60' at Edgewater on a nice cool day so you have a lot left on the table. Hopefully you can modulate the gas with the traction because I'm not sure if it is the gearing but those Mach 1's will light the tires like there is no tomorrow.

Good Luck!

When I ran on street tires I always ran my rear tires at 24psi and use to pull
1.90-1.92 60 ft's consistently leaving at 2500 rpms. I would go around the water and just spin the crap off the tires thats it. That was on 245/45/17 Fusions. I beleive my worst 60 ft on those tires was a 2.02.

why get drag radials and not run them all the time. if your gonna do that get a slick
