Took my Big Diesel (98 Dodge Ram w/Cummins Turbo-Diesel) over to Mike's shop this afternoon to get some Dyno runs! :bigthumb
Met Mike (Finally) and a bunch of guys from www.GemCityStangs.com! Good folk! Glad to meet ya'all!
Anyways, Mike (and Crew) strapped my Big Diesel down on the dyno. During the hook up, Mike realized there was no way to get RPM readings since my truck is a diesel and had to order an optical sensor from the Dyno folks.
He was however able to get some HP #s! The Big Diesel pulled 279.6 HP with a 60% load. This is at the wheels HP. What's that ? Gross ? Net ? Can't remember. ?? :grumble: 350 HP at the flywheel ?? Not for certain. We WILL know for sure next week when the optical sensor arrives!
Anyways, it was a BLAST (literally!)! The truck kept blowing off a 4" sewer pipe that was attached to evacute the diesel smoke!
