not trying to be a super dick, but is there a point to this thread or were you trying to figure out who made it?

A few, depending on who you are.

First, you can run a carb/no efi this way.

Second, going back a year or so, no good upgraded COPs where available. A MSD setup was to only way to deliver serious volts and amps to the plugs to light off 30+ psi of boost. Now, there are a couple options for COP upgrades. MSD also has a new box that will alow a spark cut instead of a fuel cut for the rev limiter, so you can spool up a turbo on the line w/o converting to a full MSD ignition.

And, what's the advantage of going to a carb? Sorry, but I'm a newb to some of this stuff.

No advantage really, just some guys don't like EFI. They are old school and want to run what they know.

Edelbrock make a really sweet intake that would work with a carb if you used this setup.
