What i did that really helped was get some cold bottled water, take a drink and just hold it in your cheek until it gets warm, then repeat. For me cold didn't hurt the tooth but it really numbed the pain a lot. That and get some Orajel that's for mouth sores...NOT the tooth ache stuff. The mouth sore stuff is a pasty crap that'll stick to your gums better than the other stuff. I dealt with a bad one for way too long before i got in, now i'm getting 2 root canals. Take care of it before it gets that far along!

Believe it or not take an asprin and put it between you tooth and cheek and let it disolve. Works pretty good.

Works even better with a Perocet or similar. Don't ask me how I know....:chug:

Something else that helps is take a shot of your favorite Whiskey and hold it in your mouth over the affected tooth. Itll numb the shit outta it.

You can also go to the store and get this headache stuff called Goodies...it's basically aspirin in a powder form. Take one packet and pour it directly on the tooth and surrounding gums. It'll taste like total crap but let it sit there until you can't stand it. The powder form helps it soak into the gums better.

In the end there's no replacement for a dentist. As soon as they drilled out the bad stuff and ripped the roots out i was feeling great :D
